Wallaby Lane property and studio are situated at Tinbeerwah on the Sunshine Coast, Australia.. The dwellings have been created for a family members relocating from Sydney with construction finalised late 2013.
The site, a long slither in form, is just more than 2 hectares. Established bushland in the centre of the residence separates the 2 buildings.
The residence sits large on the internet site and is linear in program to follow the natural contour. Orientated to the north, massive eaves and a fly-over roof shade the building. Cross ventilation, normal daylighting and lovely views to Cooroy Mountain are maximised.
The home plan is spacious however compact. No area is wasted. A suspended polished concrete floor all through the living places offers the thermal mass to the creating. Lower e glass and huge overhangs offer a quite comfy inner climate.
The house is not serviced by town water or sewerage. An onsite waste water treatment method seems to be following each buildings and rain water is harvested.
