The myth of the origins of Chile’s Chiloe archipelago was the inspiration for ‘Vilu’, an imposing pendant light “digitally handcrafted” from metal sheet by gt2P for DHPH.

“Vilu Lights has symbolic bounding edges based mostly on origin curves. In this situation inspired on the origin myth of the archipelago of Chiloe.” says gt2P. “In southern Chile you may uncover several myths that clarify the origin of all close to … only one is connected to its dismembered geography. It came following the wonderful battle among 2 strong and potent forces: Cai-cai Vilu, the spirit of the waters and Tren-tren Vilu, the protective and wise spirit. Whilst 1 raised the level of the water, the other raised the level of the land. They fought till obtaining the balance that shaped the archipelago.”
